The feature, which will be available in Android 6.0 and later, will be used for anti-tracking alerts on Android devices. Alerts will appear when an AirTag-like product that is not paired with the device is detected moving with the user.

Tapping on the alert will give the user more information about the tracking device. This will include features such as playing a sound to help locate the product and disabling the product.

X Android Beta version has been released

The Android Beta version of the X platform has been released, and here are the details...

The alerts currently only work with Apple AirTags, but Google plans to work with more companies over time. This will prevent users from being tracked, especially those who live in dangerous areas.

Google has also launched a scanning feature that will allow users to search for unknown tracking devices in their area. This will be accessible from the “Unknown Tracker Alerts” menu in Settings.

This feature is the result of a decision made by Apple and Google last year. According to the agreement, the two companies will combat unwanted tracking by AirTag and similar devices.

Google will also not release the Find My Device network until a similar anti-tracking feature comes to iOS. For those who don’t know, this network will allow devices running Android and other operating systems to connect with each other.
